A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
I am a fully qualified AAT (FMAAT) accountant who trained in the finance team of a £200m+ annual turnover group of construction companies. Following 6 years in the construction industry, working on everything from management accounts and audits to budgets, forecasting and cash flow, I moved to the charity sector. Working for a large London charity, supporting Deaf people was particularly enjoyable for me, as I was able to combine my love of finance with my other passion, British Sign Language.
Alongside employed work, I have also enjoyed many years of bookkeeping for small local businesses. With the new Making Tax Digital regulations coming into affect in 2026, I have received an increased amount of interest from sole traders and small businesses who are unsure as to how to set up and comply with the new regulations.
This was where Deben Bookkeeping was born.
Going fully freelance has enabled me to take on a greater number of clients whilst ensuring that every individual receives the personalised support that they need for their business.
Whether you need someone to keep your books in order, free up your time, or simply make sense of the numbers, I would love to have a chat.
